The college application, audition and decision process is quite daunting, but also a whole lot of fun! Visiting and auditioning at such wonderful institutions, meeting great students, and having lessons and gleaning insights from the superb faculty at all of these institutions was a priceless experience. I was fortunate to be accepted to all the schools to which I applied: The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Curtis Institute of Music, The Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, Rice University, and The University of Oklahoma. After careful consideration, I have chosen to accept an offer to study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, beginning this fall. I am very excited to be studying with the world-class faculty, particularly Alan Morrison, who will be my professor, surrounded by great students and in a fantastic environment for growing as a musician and a person. As my time at Interlochen Arts Academy comes closer to its finish, I am very excited to continue studying at another fine institution and for new adventures ahead.
