I am excited to release details about three exciting concerts that are approaching! If you’re in the area of one of these performances, I hope to see you there.
- 3:00pm, Sunday, March 16th, 2014; Saint John’s Cathedral, 1350 Washington Street, Denver, Colorado. Bryan Dunnewald will perform as part of cathedral’s Pre-Evensong Recital Series. This shorter recital serves as an extended prelude to Evensong. Bryan will perform the Allegro maestoso, Adagio and Final from Louis Vierne’s Symphony No. 3 in F-sharp Minor, Op. 28, followed by the Elevation from Jean Langlais’ Hommage à Frescobaldi. - 4:00pm, Sunday, March 23rd, 2014; First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield, Connecticut. Bryan Dunnewald will perform in a program featuring the first-place winners of the 2013 Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival Competition with Alcée Chriss III, first-place winner, young professionals division. The concert will feature works by Goldberg, Vierne, Dupré, Whitlock, Bach and others. Details about this event can be found here.
- 7:30pm, Friday, April 4th, 2014; First Congregational United Church of Christ, 300 South Minnesota Avenue, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Bryan Dunnewald will present a recital as part of First Congregational’s 2013-2014 Arts Series. The program will be approximately 90 minutes with a brief intermission and feature works of Bach, Vierne, Langlais and others. There will be a reception following the concert. - 9:30am-1:30pm, Saturday, April 5th, 2014. Bryan will partner with the First Congregational Arts Ministry to lead a “Pedals, Pipes & Pizza” event at the church to introduce young musicians to the organ, co-sponsored by the local AGO chapter.
